I don’t have a film of my wedding day. When I got married over a dozen years ago, I didn't even know they existed. Now, over 12 years later, my wedding day is a blur in my memory.
The day carried a warm June breeze. We were at stunning Letchworth State Park in Western New York, standing along a stone wall overlooking a gorge that stretched to a waterfall. (Stunning doesn't quite do this place justice. If you’re ever in Western New York, check out Letchworth State Park. You won’t regret it.)
This would be the last wedding my Grandfather officiated before passing away to cancer a few years later.
Since then, I can count on one hand the number of times all of my five siblings have been together in the same place. It was an incredibly precious moment. Once in a lifetime. It passed by in a blink.
I can’t even recall my husband saying his vows. The words my grandpa spoke. My only memories are of a few photos and blurry recollections.
When we reached our first anniversary and were living 3,000 miles away from our friends and family back home, I had a major point of deep regret. I could never get those precious moments back.
Every bride, I realized, should have a wedding film to remember her day. My wedding day was perfect for me, but if I could go back and change one thing, I would have a professional wedding videographer there to capture the moment.
When I opened my own studio in 2011, I decided to help save other couples from experiencing that same regret by creating wedding films.
This wedding day will only happen once.
It will fly by way too fast.
You will not remember all of the moments and details you've worked so hard to create.
